GEAPS International Board of Directors has postponed GEAPS Exchange 2021 due to continuing concerns about COVID-19 and the upcoming flu season. Originally scheduled for February of next year, the event will now take place at the Columbus Convention Center Aug. 6-9, 2021. Registration opens in May.

In a MEMORANDUM ON IDENTIFICATION OF ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKERS DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE dated March 19, 2020, the US Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency stated:
“If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”
The memorandum further states that:
“The attached list identifies workers who conduct a range of operations and services that are essential to continued critical infrastructure viability, including … food and agriculture, transportation and logistics…”
